Must Be Some Kind Of Hybrid

So I’ve planted Elephant Ears by our deck ever since we moved to Nogglestead because my oldest son, as a toddler, liked them when we saw them on our rambles around Old Trees. Traditions come from such humble origins.

At any rate, I bought some of these this year:

Come on, isn’t that redundant? Why would you call them mammoth elephant ears instead of mammoth ears?

Are you afraid people will be disappointed the resulting plants are not wooly?
