Noggle Can Spoil A QA Party

When someone asks:

Can anybody define the test cases on mobile.

so he/she can use the answers in a job interview, Brian J. steps up to the plate:

Lynne, help a guy out!

To test mobiles, you should ensure that:
* Individual items move freely on their strings.
* If automated, the wind up mechanisms stores kinetic energy and the start/stop controls work.
* If musical, the correct notes play in a recognizable order.

You might have to test the mounting equipment as well to ensure it handles the weight of the mobile apparatus.

Some “real” “QA” “professionals” seem unamused.

  1. I like the self-anointed “moderator” who responded to your posting thusly:

“Tsk, tsk – I know you meant this in jest, but consider that a non-English-speaker may not understand, and may try to use your responses in an interview.

At least put some smilies in there…”

Yes, that’s what gets things done in today’s world, smileys and other pseudo feel-good BS. God forbid you point out in a humorous manner that the original poster (a member of the inassailable “non-English-speaker” set, no less) really should not be interviewing for this type of position.

All bow before our PC overlords. Gah.

PS: I know, I know. Twenty lashes for questioning PC.
PPS: I know, I know. An additional twenty lashes for mentioning God.
PPPS: I’ve also seen firsthand how multiple Noggles can crash an office holiday party. To Iron Maiden’s “Somewhere in Time,” no less. Keep up the good work!
