Since Lt Governor is normally a cermonal position (when was the last time the Lt Governor succeeded to the Governorship in this state?), she needs to go as she lacks all of the tools to serve the state.
Her only comments to the bereved family should be to offer condolences and support, give the business card, and leave quietly. They do not need a media circus and are suffering now from her poor judgement by having to deal with their grief in a far more public way.
