Not What We Might Think It Meant In The 21st Century

Driverless truck crashes into Berryville, Ark., antique shop:

A driverless pickup truck crossed four lanes of traffic Thursday morning before crashing into an antique mall coffee shop, leaving damage to the storefront.

According to Berryville police chief Robert Bartos, dispatch received a call around 6:30 a.m. at Hidden Treasures Antique Mall off of South Main Street.

“A pickup truck had pulled into the White Oak gas station just up the street. And the individual had gotten out to pump gas and left his truck in gear,” Bartos said. “And the vehicle rolled down the hill and ran into the antique store.”

In the 21st century, we expect a driverless truck to be something different entirely.

Ah, and I am stripped of the quip I was planning when I saw the headline, which is That Tesla must have had it in for the antique shop to cross four lanes of traffic to attack it. Maybe next time!
