8,000 balloons released to remember Berlin Wall

To remember the fall of the Berlin Wall and to celebrate it, one would assume.

As a footnote to you damn kids, here’s why we feared balloons in the 1980s:

No word on whether organizers alerted the Russians and the Chinese to get their okays first in case the balloons were going to fly over new ADIZes or whatnot. Because suddenly it’s a lot more like the 1970s and 1980s than we’d like.
