Ah, gentle reader, that is not a chokehold. In a proper chokehold, the elbow is under the chin, and the front hand is on the bicep of the other arm (the second arm holds the back of the head to lock the chokee in place). The goal is not to crush the wind pipe but to squeeze the choking arm tight to the next of the chokee and to cut off the blood flow to the brain to put the chokee to sleep.
