What makes this worth your time is Noggle\u2019s attention to detail: J. Random Noob will appreciate the extra exposition, and your local expert will nod, \u201cYeah, that\u2019s exactly the way I\u2019d do that. If I were going to do that, which of course I\u2019m not.\u201d There might be a hair too much geographical exposition \u2014 by the time you\u2019re finished you should be able to hire on as a cab driver in St. Louis County \u2014 but no matter about that. The plot is more than sufficiently twisty; I\u2019m pleased to report that I did not even come close to predicting the way it ended. And if the dialogue meanders a bit, hey, that\u2019s the way these people talk. I\u2019ve heard them, and so have you.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>C.G.
