{"id":937,"date":"2004-05-15T02:04:00","date_gmt":"2004-05-15T02:04:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/brianjnoggle.com\/blog\/?p=937"},"modified":"2018-08-13T18:51:15","modified_gmt":"2018-08-13T23:51:15","slug":"937","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/brianjnoggle.com\/blog\/2004\/05\/15\/937\/","title":{"rendered":"Sounds Like a Hostile Workplace To Me"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Hidden in the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.boston.com\/news\/globe\/editorial_opinion\/oped\/articles\/2004\/05\/14\/a_series_of_errors_on_lewd_images\/\" target=\"new\">ombudsman column of the <i>Boston Globe<\/i><\/a> wherein said ombudsperson explains the chain of events that led to the <i>Globe<\/i> printing a story about a rabble-rousing city selectman or whatever anachronism those staid New Englanders have in lieu of alderpeople who pee in trashcans during a filibuster who waved around a bunch of photographs depicting American soldiers raping Iraqi women&#8211;photographs long debunked here in the blogosphere as having come from topical pornography&#8211;we find this interesting admission from the ombudsperson:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Various sources last week said the photos displayed by Turner came from a pornography website, and they may well have, <b>although I could not trace it to the source<\/b>.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>One has to wonder how hard Christine Chinlund scoured the Web for a particular set of pornographic pictures and how many sites she reviewed in the course of her research.
