{"id":6707,"date":"2010-07-19T13:23:42","date_gmt":"2010-07-19T18:23:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/brianjnoggle.com\/blog\/?p=6707"},"modified":"2010-07-19T13:23:42","modified_gmt":"2010-07-19T18:23:42","slug":"what-could-have-made-it-better","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/brianjnoggle.com\/blog\/2010\/07\/19\/what-could-have-made-it-better\/","title":{"rendered":"What Could Have Made It Better"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>So I watched <a href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/title\/tt0056592\/\" target=\"_blank\"><em>To Kill A Mockingbird<\/em><\/a> last night for the first time, and when we got to the courthouse scene, the defense&#8217;s closing argument delivered by Gregory Peck:<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">\n<object width=\"425\" height=\"344\"><param name=\"movie\" value=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/v\/k8TgqenWW0I&amp;hl=en_US&amp;fs=1?rel=0\"><\/param><param name=\"allowFullScreen\" value=\"true\"><\/param><param name=\"allowscriptaccess\" value=\"always\"><\/param><embed src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/v\/k8TgqenWW0I&amp;hl=en_US&amp;fs=1?rel=0\" type=\"application\/x-shockwave-flash\" allowscriptaccess=\"always\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" width=\"425\" height=\"344\"><\/embed><\/object><\/p>\n<p>I couldn&#8217;t help but think that the speech would have been far cooler if it had been written by Ayn Rand and\/or delivered by Gary Cooper:<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">\n<object width=\"425\" height=\"344\"><param name=\"movie\" value=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/v\/VkAz8rw8kqY&amp;hl=en_US&amp;fs=1?rel=0\"><\/param><param name=\"allowFullScreen\" value=\"true\"><\/param><param name=\"allowscriptaccess\" value=\"always\"><\/param><embed src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/v\/VkAz8rw8kqY&amp;hl=en_US&amp;fs=1?rel=0\" type=\"application\/x-shockwave-flash\" allowscriptaccess=\"always\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" width=\"425\" height=\"344\"><\/embed><\/object><\/p>\n<p>Of course, I&#8217;m enough of a fanboy of Objectivism to think that speech was cool and prefer Gary Cooper over Gregory Peck.
