{"id":435,"date":"2003-11-05T01:09:00","date_gmt":"2003-11-05T01:09:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/brianjnoggle.com\/blog\/?p=435"},"modified":"2018-08-09T09:46:48","modified_gmt":"2018-08-09T14:46:48","slug":"435","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/brianjnoggle.com\/blog\/2003\/11\/05\/435\/","title":{"rendered":"Re-Elect This Fellow, Stat!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In Arizona, a county rented some space for a court, and when it couldn&#8217;t come to an agreement with the land owner for a lease, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.azcentral.com\/news\/articles\/1104condemn.html\" target=\"_new\">it opened up a can of eminent domain<\/a> and took it over.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;This means municipalities can identify a space they want and force a landlord to lease it to them,&#8221; said Mike Freret vice president of development for Orsett\/Columbia Ltd. &#8220;It may mean that if the space they want already has a business owner in it, they could boot them out.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><b>Tom Irvine, who represented the county, said that&#8217;s exactly what it means. <\/b><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Finally, the tyrants are feeling comfortable to explicitly state their belief that <i>The State grants property rights<\/i>.  Soon, the Bill of Rights will also be recognized as retractable fiats issued by the Elect(ed).<\/p>\n<p>Most important right, and it&#8217;s only in the Constitution indirectly.
