Staff were also told of the move on a call with Carbone Monday morning. Carbone has been with the company since 2023 and has ties to the Boston area.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">* * * *<\/p>\n<p>Panera has been open about struggles in recent years, including high costs, a drop in food quality and smaller portions. In response, the company worked to downsize and shift employees to a remote model.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>I find it hard to believe there is a competitive advantage in relocating to Boston.
