{"id":34328,"date":"2025-09-12T09:09:03","date_gmt":"2025-09-12T14:09:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/brianjnoggle.com\/blog\/?p=34328"},"modified":"2025-09-12T09:09:03","modified_gmt":"2025-09-12T14:09:03","slug":"the-dustiest-thing-at-nogglestead","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/brianjnoggle.com\/blog\/2025\/09\/12\/the-dustiest-thing-at-nogglestead\/","title":{"rendered":"The Dustiest Thing At Nogglestead"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I mentioned when I wrote about <a href=\"https:\/\/brianjnoggle.com\/blog\/2024\/07\/02\/choose-your-own-grind-adventure\/\" target=\"_new\">recent housekeeping practices at Nogglestead<\/a> that I dust upstairs every week (fallen to <em>mostly<\/em> every week) and the downstairs every two weeks (<em>mostly<\/em>).  <\/p>\n<p>But the practices mean that two things are not dusted often at all.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/brianjnoggle.com\/bsgfx\/dustiestplaceinnogglestead.jpg\"><\/p>\n<p>I use Swiffer Dusters for dusting, which comprise a handle and a disposable synthetic feather duster that&#8217;s probably coating everything I own with deadly microplastics and probably only knocks the dust to the floor so that the vacuum can redistribute it at a later time.  But: When I&#8217;m dusting the upstairs, I close the gate to the lower level so I can dust it, and I can reach the large piece of Ethan Allanesque bourgeois art with the extended handle.  And when I go downstairs, I stage the box of dusters on the table down there as I go since all the books and videos down there tend to take two or three (or four sometimes on <em>mostly<\/em> weeks).  <\/p>\n<p>So I tend to overlook the light fixture and the Packers objet d&#8217;art on the lower part of the stairwell.
