GOP still wants to kill law: Affordable Care Act has given millions of people an option to get health coverage they otherwise could not afford<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Ya know, I remember a time when John McCain was literally Hitler.  That&#8217;s about the time when my monthly healthcare premiums were $800.  2008.  I&#8217;m self-employed, so I wrote the whole check every month.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s now $2700 a month and likely to increase again in November.<\/p>\n<p>So the ACA has helped my health coverage get to the level where I cannot afford it.
