{"id":3267,"date":"2006-08-08T00:52:00","date_gmt":"2006-08-08T00:52:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/brianjnoggle.com\/blog\/?p=3267"},"modified":"2014-05-31T06:09:11","modified_gmt":"2014-05-31T11:09:11","slug":"milwaukee-admirals-celebrate-halloween-every-day","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/brianjnoggle.com\/blog\/2006\/08\/08\/milwaukee-admirals-celebrate-halloween-every-day\/","title":{"rendered":"Milwaukee Admirals Celebrate Halloween Every Day"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Milwaukee Admirals have a new look and a new logo, and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.jsonline.com\/story\/index.aspx?id=479333\" target=\"_new\">it&#8217;s goofy<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\nIn conjunction with its new slogan &#8220;Never say die,&#8221; which has been teasing local billboard readers for the past month, the Admirals introduced the new logo: the admiral of a ghost ship. A pirate explained to the crowd that the admiral had been at the bottom of Lake Michigan for the past 20 years and that this was what was left of him.<\/p>\n<p>The new logo is quite a bit edgier than the last logo of the salty seaman admiral. The new admiral, designed by Joe Locher of Yes Men of Milwaukee, is a skull with a black admiral&#8217;s cap with ice blue trim.<\/p>\n<p>The team&#8217;s new colors will be black, ice blue and silver, replacing the old red, white and blue. &#8220;We wanted to do something that would be really popular with the younger crowd,&#8221; Locher said. &#8220;We wanted to avoid the idea of a trendy logo, yet we wanted to tie it in to the heritage of the team to have it make more sense.&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Yeah, a skeleton logo in black, white, and ice blue.  That&#8217;ll impress the kids these days.
