{"id":30173,"date":"2022-08-02T16:57:23","date_gmt":"2022-08-02T21:57:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/brianjnoggle.com\/blog\/?p=30173"},"modified":"2022-08-02T16:57:23","modified_gmt":"2022-08-02T21:57:23","slug":"another-entry-in-the-is-that-the-name-of-the-song-or-the-band-list","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/brianjnoggle.com\/blog\/2022\/08\/02\/another-entry-in-the-is-that-the-name-of-the-song-or-the-band-list\/","title":{"rendered":"Another Entry in the &#8220;Is That The Name of the Song or the Band?&#8221; List"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I briefly mentioned a thought game <a href=\"https:\/\/brianjnoggle.com\/blog\/2017\/12\/12\/is-that-the-name-of-the-song-or-the-name-of-the-band\/\" target=\"_new\" rel=\"noopener\">four years ago<\/a> to think up bands who have songs that are another band&#8217;s name.<\/p>\n<p>Back then, I had such suggestions as Fozzy&#8217;s &#8220;All That Remains&#8221; and Alice Cooper&#8217;s &#8220;Poison&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>To these I should like to add Bad Company&#8217;s &#8220;Shooting Star&#8221;:<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/FJTSmLqg6iE\" title=\"YouTube video player\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>In the early 1990s, listening to AOR on QFM in Milwaukee, one would also hear the band Shooting Star, generally &#8220;Last Chance&#8221;:<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/lhlJxR1_LzQ\" title=\"YouTube video player\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>I bought greatest hits collections on cassette by both bands, Shooting Star on the weight of the song above and Bad Company&#8217;s based on &#8220;Feel Like Making Love&#8221; which I&#8217;d first bought as a cassette single.<\/p>\n<p>Bad Company might win this game, as the band also has a song &#8220;Bad Company&#8221;:<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/JXQJpyQBShU\" title=\"YouTube video player\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>I am not sure you can get more recursive than that.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I briefly mentioned a thought game four years ago to think up bands who have songs that are another band&#8217;s name.
