After my parents divorced and we moved to Missouri, I would hear this song on the radio (or once on my mother&#8217;s newly acquired Reader&#8217;s Digest Blowin&#8217; in the Wind boxed set of LPs&#8211;which I still own of course), and I would remember to call my father (collect) to wish him a happy birthday.  I probably tell you this story every November, gentle reader; thank you for indulging me.<\/p>\n<p>He died at 47.
