You&#8217;ve got to have a brand!<\/em> that, with diligent work and a proven track record over decades of fresh content will enable you to sell a hundred or so copies of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/B0051OZ5SC\/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&#038;camp=1789&#038;creative=9325&#038;creativeASIN=B0051OZ5SC&#038;linkCode=as2&#038;tag=musinfrombria-20\" target=\"_new\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">your novel<\/a>, one copy of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/B006D1DFWU\/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&#038;camp=1789&#038;creative=9325&#038;creativeASIN=B006D1DFWU&#038;linkCode=as2&#038;tag=musinfrombria-20\" target=\"_new\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">your play<\/a> (not a typo; it was to Charles Hill, PBUH), and a handful of copies of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Coffee-House-Memories-Brian-Noggle\/dp\/0983212341\/\" target=\"_new\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">your poetry collection<\/a> even though each is only $.99 on Kindle.  Well, okay, the business coaches say the first part; the latter part of it comes from my own experience (and the thousands of words on this blog could probably have been better developed into a habit of writing <em>actual books<\/em> instead so maybe I could have eventually sold maybe <em>five hundred books total<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>All daily for the three or four regular readers and to keep my site fresh for search engines so I&#8217;m still a relevant hit for <a href=\"https:\/\/brianjnoggle.com\/blog\/2020\/06\/30\/the-second-most-viewed-book-report-on-mfbjn\/\" target=\"_new\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">reports on obscure books<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Maybe Ms. K&#8217;s question was rhetorical, but I certainly explained one of the kinds of loser still blogging.<\/p>\n<p>(Also, note, although I say <em>decades<\/em> of experience, this blog with its Blogger origin story are only seventeen and a half years old, so clearly I am using <em>hyperbole<\/em>.)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Tam K. asks: What kind of loser still writes a blog in 2020, anyway?
