It will give me the opportunity to buy meat.  Of course, I&#8217;ve been buying, cooking, and freezing extra meat during the current unpleasantness anyway.  So if I buy four today, four tomorrow, and four the next day, I&#8217;ll make out all right.<\/p>\n<p>Just kidding.  I don&#8217;t tend to shop at Hy-Vee that often.  So I&#8217;ll be able to clean out my local grocery for an extra day or two until they follow suit.<\/p>\n<p>I mean, who wants to run out of meat <a href=\"https:\/\/brianjnoggle.com\/blog\/2020\/05\/04\/what-if-with-brian-j\/\" target=\"_new\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">half way to Proxima Centauri<\/a>?  Not me, brother.<\/p>\n<p><font color=\"red\"><b>UPDATE:<\/b><\/font>  Apparently, <a href=\"https:\/\/pjmedia.com\/news-and-politics\/stephen-green\/2020\/05\/05\/kroger-slaps-ration-limits-on-beef-and-pork-purchases-n388190\" target=\"_new\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Kroger-themed stores, too<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><font color=\"red\"><b>UPDATE 2:<\/b><\/font>  My local grocery has also implemented a limit of 5 meat items; however, that is the <em>fresh<\/em> meat section, where the meat is purportedly <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pricecutteronline.com\/departments\/meat\" target=\"_new\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">cut in the store<\/a>.  The processed lunch meat, sausage, and <em>bacon<\/em> section has no limit.
