For years before that, <a href=\"https:\/\/brianjnoggle.com\/blog\/2007\/01\/17\/wal-mart-wreaking-havoc-on-local-economy\/\" target=\"_new\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Walmart was wrecking the local economy<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>I don&#8217;t know why that particular worm has turned to dollar stores.<\/p>\n<p>I saw this story at Neo&#8217;s place: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thenewneo.com\/2019\/05\/22\/the-war-on-the-dollar-stores\/\" target=\"_new\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The war on the dollar stores<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>This article is a few months old, but it just recently came to my attention and I read it because I love dollar stores, although the article is a typical anti-capitalist attack on them as somehow harming minorities in poor communities who don\u2019t have easy access to other grocery stores.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Then I saw a story on the <em>Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel<\/em>&#8216;s Web site<\/em>:<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/brianjnoggle.com\/bsgfx\/dollargeneralstory.jpg\"><\/p>\n<p>No link because it&#8217;s subscriber-only, and I&#8217;m not a subscriber.<\/p>\n<p>So did the media beat Walmart?
