{"id":24578,"date":"2019-05-25T08:40:47","date_gmt":"2019-05-25T13:40:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/brianjnoggle.com\/blog\/?p=24578"},"modified":"2019-05-24T08:29:08","modified_gmt":"2019-05-24T13:29:08","slug":"other-repeats-in-brian-j-s-life","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/brianjnoggle.com\/blog\/2019\/05\/25\/other-repeats-in-brian-j-s-life\/","title":{"rendered":"Other Repeats in Brian J.&#8217;s Life"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Yesterday I mentioned <a href=\"https:\/\/brianjnoggle.com\/blog\/2019\/05\/24\/you-can-see-that-again\/\" target=\"_new\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">films I had seen more than once in the theater<\/a>, and it got me thinking (but not right before bed) about other things I have seen more than once.<\/p>\n<p><b>Plays<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>Table Manners<\/em>, one of the three in Alan Ayckbourn&#8217;s <em>The Norman Conquests<\/em>.  When I was at the university, the Milwaukee Rep played all three on a rotating basis (<em>Table Manners<\/em> one night, <em>Round and Round the Garden<\/em> the next, and <em>Living Together<\/em> the next, and repeat), so I decided I would go to each of them with a different girl.  However, because I misread the schedule, I had to go see <em>Table Manners<\/em> a second time.  I actually saw it a third time when the Chesterfield Community Theatre in St. Louis played it by itself.<\/li>\n<li><em>A Midsummer Night&#8217;s Dream<\/em>.  I think I&#8217;ve seen this a couple of times, but I might be conflating the play with the symphony, both of which I&#8217;ve seen.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Musical Acts<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Richard Marx (twice on the <em>Repeat Offender<\/em> tour: once in Milwaukee, once in St. Louis).<\/li>\n<li>Poison<\/li>\n<li>Warrant<\/li>\n<li>Dar Williams<\/li>\n<li>Ani DiFranco<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The last two were under the influence of my beautiful wife, naturally.<\/p>\n<p>The musician I&#8217;d like to see most again: Herb Alpert.
