The Best of Wheat and a Little Chaff<\/a><\/em>.<\/p>\nThe poems are simple, faith-based lyrics with good rhythm and end rhymes. Many, if not most, of the poems end with a Bible verse that inspired the meditation. Pretty simple things, not great literature, but a pleasure to read. A couple focus on the gospel teaching of not worrying about tomorrow and being thankful for what you have today, which you know, gentle reader, is a theme I constantly try to embrace and embody, so I really enjoyed those poems the most. Also, note I enjoyed it more than the aforementioned Lathrom book.<\/p>\n
I love buying the packets of chapbooks at the Friends of the Springfield-Greene County Library for books like this.<\/p>\n
