Want to watch <em>Captain America<\/em>?<br \/>\nBoys: &#8220;Yeah!&#8221;<br \/>\nMe:<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/brianjnoggle.com\/bsgfx\/captainamerica.jpg\"><\/p>\n<p>That is, of course, the <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.imdb.com\/title\/tt0078937\/?ref_=fn_tt_tt_6\" target=\"_new\">Captain America<\/em> television movie<\/a> from 1979.  Which first aired thirty years ago tomorrow (January 19, 1979) as a matter of fact.<\/p>\n<p>I probably saw this first on cable television late at night when it was still relatively fresh.<\/p>\n<p>So the boys and I watched this collection of man driving\/man riding on a motorcycle montages punctuated by stoic surfer dude reluctance to accept his father&#8217;s mantle.  They think it could have used more guns and artillery, as always.<\/p>\n<p>But I have ruined Captain America for them like I ruined <a href=\"https:\/\/brianjnoggle.com\/blog\/2018\/03\/26\/how-brian-j-ruined-james-bond-for-his-children\/\" target=\"_new\">James Bond<\/a>.  But they&#8217;ll probably be happy to watch the second film, <em>Captain America 2: Death Too Soon<\/em> sometime soon.
