I would have known and not made a fool of myself.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;They sound like that band that sings&#8230;.&#8221; and then he spit out some lyrics that I recognized as &#8220;The Boys Are Back In Town&#8221;. <\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/hQo1HIcSVtg\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;That&#8217;s Thin Lizzy,&#8221; I said.  &#8220;No, they [After the Fire] sound British or European.  Thin Lizzy is American.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Wrong again!  Thin Lizzy is <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Thin_Lizzy\" target=\"_new\">an Irish band<\/a>.  Although I did peg After the Fire right: They&#8217;re <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/After_the_Fire\" target=\"_new\">British<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Maybe I should not expound on any music at all unless I&#8217;m merely parroting Charles.  Or <a href=\"http:\/\/friarsfires.blogspot.com\/2018\/11\/green-blues.html\" target=\"_new\">amusing Friar<\/a>, who apparently likes humor in poor taste.  Which explains why he&#8217;s a regular reader here.<\/p>\n<p>WAIT A MINUTE.<\/p>\n<p>As I decided to add YouTube videos to this post, I discovered Falco did indeed do the song &#8220;Der Kommissar&#8221;:<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/8-bgiiTxhzM\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/a><\/p>\n<p>It was, in fact, the After the Fire version, which is in English, that came on the radio.<\/p>\n<p>And I still botched the nationality of Thin Lizzy.
