{"id":16493,"date":"2017-04-24T11:35:29","date_gmt":"2017-04-24T16:35:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/brianjnoggle.com\/blog\/?p=16493"},"modified":"2017-04-24T11:35:29","modified_gmt":"2017-04-24T16:35:29","slug":"musical-throwdown-the-ship-of-forgetting","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/brianjnoggle.com\/blog\/2017\/04\/24\/musical-throwdown-the-ship-of-forgetting\/","title":{"rendered":"Musical Throwdown: The Ship of Forgetting"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Speaking of Spanish language classics (which we weren&#8217;t, but this is my blog, and I&#8217;ll direct the conversation, thank you, but I want to give you the impression, gentle reader, that you were a part of it), we have &#8220;La Nave de Olvido&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>First up, we have Jos\u00e9 Jos\u00e9, an artist I found when looking for test data that uses accent marks (don&#8217;t judge me&#8211;I am a software tester, and <em>I judge YOU!<\/em>).<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/xf6cyDfi8t8?rel=0\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Next, we have Vikki Carr, a pop singer from the 1960s who had a string of 60s sounding hits, but she was born Florencia Bisenta de Casillas-Martinez Cardona, so she could sing in Spanish naturally.  As a matter of fact, she included &#8220;La Nave de Olvido&#8221; on her 1972 album <em>En Espa\u00f1ol<\/em>:<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/YYSs4VMlp0g?rel=0\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Of course, I have to go with the songbird here, too, favoring Ms. Carr&#8217;s version.
