So you might think I would then go on Saturday to the same book sale.  But ah, my foes, and ah, my friends, that&#8217;s the way one gets too many books.  <\/p>\n<p>Instead, I went to the Friends of the Clever Library Book Sale, which is held in the firehouse down there and only has six or seven tables of books.  That way, I would self-limit on my purchases.<\/p>\n<p>Oh, how the best laid plans of mice and men and so on.  Because I did not take into account that one of those tables might be almost completely filled with Mack Bolan \/ The Executioner related Gold Eagle titles.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"https:\/\/brianjnoggle.com\/bsgfx\/gbh83.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/brianjnoggle.com\/bsgfx\/gbh83.jpg\" width=\"425\" alt=\"Friends of the Clever Library Book Sale 2013\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ll spare you the individual titles, but amongst the paperbacks I scored:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>45<\/b> Executioner titles.<br \/>&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li><b>15<\/b> Mack Bolan titles.<br \/>&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li><b>3<\/b> Able Team titles.<br \/>&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li><b>9<\/b> Stony Man titles.<br \/>&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li><b>2<\/b> Soldiers of Barrabas (S.O.B.s) titles.<br \/>&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li><b>2<\/b> The Mercenary titles.<br \/>&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li><b>1<\/b> Agents of War title.<br \/>&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li><b>1<\/b> Soldiers of War title.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Eat your heart out, <a href=\"http:\/\/glorioustrash.blogspot.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Mr. Kenney<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, I got some other books:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><i>Rocket Ship Galileo<\/i> by Robert Heinlein.<br \/>&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>Science fiction books by William Gibson and Cory Doctorow.<br \/>&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>A collection of &#8220;Life is Simple&#8221; columns by Jerry Crownover.<br \/>&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>The <em>Tron Storybook<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Among others.<\/p>\n<p>Total cost: $30 with renewal of our Friends of the Library membership.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On Friday, I volunteered at the Friends of the Springfield-Greene County Library semi-annual book sale.
