Hobson, 43, was charged with first-degree murder and armed criminal action in the death of Maxine Cheeks, 55. Police say Hobson led them to her badly beaten body on a vacant lot off South 14th Street near Soulard Street.<\/p>\n<p>Hobson&#8217;s son, Antoine M. Ward, 26, of the 3000 block of Walton Place, was arrested Wednesday. He was charged with <b>abandonment of a corpse, a felony<\/b>.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Abandoning a corpse is apparently a felony.  Because sometimes accessory after the fact just won&#8217;t do it.
